What type of Airbrush paint should I use to paint plastic model.?

I just bought an airbrush set and started Painting my plastic model with Createx paint. All went well except after a few day when I held up the model… the paint rubbed off. I looked for Createx primer but they don’t seem to carry any. I cleaned the model before I painted it, so am I doing something wrong?

Don’t use Creatix for your plastic models. It needs heat to cure, like baking in an oven. Problem is, the temp needed will probably melt your model.

I use a lacquer based paint called Mr. Color. Used it for years, and love it. I don’t know how easy it is to find in the US though. I always had to order it from Japan (now I live here, so I just have to go to the local hobby shop to resupply). Tamiya enamel is pretty good, and I think pretty common to find. Also might want to try Testors Model Master enamels.

They also make acrylic paint for models, but I’ve never used any brand of acrylic, so I have no idea how good they are.
